Big news from Addis Ababa! Elimu’s Taking Schools Online program takes center stage at the AU Innovating in Education Conference!

We are thrilled to share that our very own Davis Waithaka represented Elimu Holdings at the 2023 Innovating in Education Conference in Addis Ababa, where our Taking Schools Online (TSO) program was not only showcased, but awarded a top-10 spot out of over 650 applications!

The reception was electrifying! African representatives from across the continent were buzzing with excitement about TSO’s potential to revolutionize education access and quality. This program, aligned with both CESA 16-25 Strategic Objective 3 and UN SDG 4, is about bridging the digital divide and empowering schools with the tools they need to thrive in the 21st century.

TSO isn’t just about websites and emails. It’s about harnessing the power of data to inform education planning across Africa. Imagine a continent where education authorities have real-time insights into student performance, resource allocation, and school infrastructure needs. TSO can make that a reality.

And let’s not forget, in the age of AI, African schools can’t afford to be left behind. TSO equips them with the technology and resources to embrace digital learning, prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow, and unlock the full potential of Africa’s young minds.

We’ve already helped 1,200 schools in Kenya take the leap online, and our ambition is 100,000 across Africa. With the incredible support we received at the AU, we’re closer than ever to achieving that goal.
